Maurizio Marchese nasce a Catania nel 1967 e li attualmente lavora come ingegnere.
Dopo la laurea incomincia ad utilizzare la macchina fotografica per scopi lavorativi legati esclusivamente alla documentazione e contabilità dei lavori.
Approfondisce la tematica fotografica seguendo negli ultimi cinque anni vari workshop e corsi tenuti da vari esperti nel settore. Dal 2018 fa parte di un gruppo di fotografi coordinato dal fotografo architetto Santo Eduardo Di Miceli. Durante tale periodo approfondisce vari aspetti legati al mondo della fotografia partecipando con due portfolio uno sull’iconografia sacra in Sicilia ed un altro su Copenaghen quale esempio di Green city europeo.
A febbraio 2020 partecipa a un workshop tenuto dal fotografo Michele Di Donato dal titolo “Composizione e linguaggio fotografico”
Tra marzo e aprile 2020, assieme al gruppo di fotografi di Tarragona “Photo Km0”, documenta il periodo di quarantena vissuto a causa della pandemia COVID-19. Tale progetto si concretizza con un libro intitolato #Limits.
Da luglio ad ottobre 2020, partecipa ad un workshop fotografico tenuto dal fotografo Michele Di Donato dal titolo “Percorsi di visione” che ha come scopo quello di pubblicare un libro collettivo dei 22 allievi fotografi partecipanti dal titolo “Non Luoghi”.

Maurizio Marchese was born in Catania in 1967 and currently works there as an engineer. After graduation he begins to use the camera for work purposes related exclusively to the documentation and accounting of the works. He deepens the photographic theme by participating in various workshops and courses held by various experts in the sector over the last five years. Since 2018 he has been part of a group of photographers coordinated by the photographer architect Santo Eduardo Di Miceli. In this period he explores various aspects related to the world of photography by participating with two portfolios, one on sacred iconography in Sicily and another on Copenhagen, as an example of a European green city.

In February 2020, he participates in a workshop held by photographer Michele Di Donato entitled “Composizione e linguaggio fotografico”
Between March and April 2020 together with the group of photographers from Tarragona “Photo Km0” he documents the quarantine period caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. This project takes shape with a book called #Limits.
From July to October he participates in a photographic workshop held by photographer Michele Di Donato entitled “Percorsi di visioni” which aims to publish a collective book of the 22 participants entitled “Non Luoghi”.
